Archiving Policy

The Revue Internationale du Law and Education (RIDLE) is committed to ensuring that the scholarly work published in the journal remains permanently accessible and preserved for future generations. Once an article is published, it becomes part of the scientific record and must remain available even as technologies, platforms, or web systems evolve.

This policy explains how the journal preserves and archives its published content to guarantee long-term accessibility for authors, researchers, scholars, and professionals worldwide.

1. Importance of Archiving

Scientific and technological progress depends on access to previously published research. Articles published today may serve several important roles in the future, including:

  • Providing references and citations for future research studies
  • Supporting academic learning and research training
  • Informing development in law and education.

Preserving published research ensures that these connections remain intact and that valuable scientific knowledge is not lost over time.

PKP Preservation Network

All articles published in the Revue Internationale du Law and Education (RIDLE) are securely stored in the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), a distributed digital preservation system managed by the Public Knowledge Project. This ensures that journal content remains accessible even if the journal website becomes temporarily or permanently unavailable.

Purpose of Archiving

  • Permanence: Articles remain available for the long term
  • Integrity: Content is preserved securely and reliably
  • Accessibility: Researchers, students, and the public can access content without barriers

2. Digital Preservation and Archiving

To ensure long-term access to its publications, the journal applies multiple archiving and preservation strategies:

  • Secure Server Hosting: All journal content is hosted on stable servers with regular system backups to prevent data loss.
  • Digital Archiving Systems: Published articles are preserved through reliable digital repositories and archiving systems designed to maintain accessibility even if website technologies change.
  • Downloadable Article Formats: Articles are provided in widely used formats such as PDF, allowing readers to download and access content offline.

3. Commitment to the Scientific Record

Archiving is not only about storing articles but also about preserving the integrity and reliability of the scientific record. The journal remains committed to maintaining permanent access to its scholarly content so that future researchers, educators, and professionals can continue to benefit from the knowledge published in the journal.

Plagiarism Screening

All manuscripts submitted to the journal may be checked for similarity using plagiarism detection software during the editorial review process.

If significant similarity or unattributed content is detected, the manuscript may be

  • Returned to the authors for correction
  • Rejected by the editorial office
  • Subject to further investigation according to publication ethics guidelines

The editorial team evaluates similarity reports carefully to determine whether the overlap is acceptable, properly cited, or constitutes plagiarism.

Responsibilities of Authors

Authors are responsible for ensuring that their submissions are original and free from plagiarism. Proper citation and acknowledgment must be provided for all sources, data, and previously published material used in the manuscript.

  • All references are properly cited
  • Direct quotations are clearly indicated
  • Previously published figures or tables are used only with permission where required
  • The manuscript represents original research or analysis

Actions in Cases of Plagiarism

If plagiarism is identified before publication, the manuscript may be rejected and returned to the authors for explanation or revision.

If plagiarism is discovered after publication, the journal may take appropriate actions, including:

  • Issuing a correction or retraction of the article
  • Informing the authors’ institutions or funding agencies if necessary
  • Restricting future submissions from the authors for a defined period

The Revue Internationale du Law and Education (RIDLE) reserves the right to take appropriate editorial action to maintain the integrity and credibility of the scientific record.

Correction and Retractions Policy

The journal allows authors to request corrections or withdrawal of manuscripts under certain circumstances. Minor corrections, such as changes in author name, affiliation, or other metadata, may be permitted after submission or publication upon formal request to the editorial office.

In cases where significant errors, ethical concerns, or issues such as plagiarism or duplicate publication are identified, the journal may issue a correction, withdrawal notice, or retraction in accordance with accepted academic publishing standards and ethical guidelines.

For correction or withdrawal requests, authors must contact the editorial office with proper justification and supporting details. Please note that administrative or processing charges may apply for such requests.

Open Access Policy

The journal is committed to the principles of open and unrestricted access to scholarly knowledge. In alignment with the Budapest Open Access Initiative, the journal provides immediate, full-text access to all published articles free of charge and without any subscription or access fees.

We believe that open access to high-quality academic research is essential for fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and globally connected scholarly community. By removing financial and legal barriers, the journal promotes broader participation in academic discourse and enables researchers, educators, students, and professionals worldwide to benefit from scientific advancements.

All content published in the journal is:

  • Freely accessible online to readers across the world
  • Available for reading, downloading, printing, distributing, linking, and sharing
  • Usable for any lawful purpose, provided proper attribution is given to the original authors and the journal

This open-access model enhances the visibility, accessibility, and impact of research, particularly supporting researchers and institutions with limited access to subscription-based resources.

The journal adheres to recognized best practices in open-access scholarly publishing. Each submitted manuscript undergoes a rigorous double-blind peer-review process to ensure academic integrity, originality, and relevance. The editorial and review standards are designed to maintain the highest levels of scholarly quality and ethical responsibility.

Through this publication and access policy, the journal provides a global platform for researchers and practitioners to share innovative findings and contribute to the advancement of the community.
